Product Details

Combining breathable mesh and synthetic uppers with high-tech soles, the Asics Gel-Flux 3 and Gel-Flux 4 provide a smooth and efficient road running experience. With gel cushioning at toe and heel and a bouncy SpEVA midsole, these shoes will put a spring in your step. And the Durasponge outsole with Trusstic system and Guidance Line technology will make your gait stable and efficient.

Fit

The mesh upper of the Gel-Flux 3 and Gel-Flux 4 provide a snug, comfortable fit. Most users find the shoes true to size, but for some feet, the toe box may be too small and narrow.

Upper

The uppers on the Gel-Flux 3 and Gel-Flux 4 are constructed of mesh and synthetic, making them lightweight and breathable. The lace-up closure ensures correct fit, and the padded tongue and collar, as well as the breathable fabric lining, make for excellent in-shoe feel. Compared to the Gel-Flux 3, the Gel-Flux 4 has updated details on the upper, and comes in fresher color lines. However, the Gel-Flux 3 has more color lines available.

Insole and Midsole

The Gel-Flux 3 and Gel-Flux 4 come with a comfortable textile footbed. The footbed is removable, allowing users to insert their own orthopedic insoles. The midsole of both shoes features forefoot and rearfoot gel cushioning that absorbs shock and helps the foot move smoothly through the gait cycle. SpEVA midsole material improves bounce-back and decreases midsole breakdown, providing a more energetic feel.

Outsole

The Durasponge outsole with AHAR rubber provides the perfect combination of cushioning, flexibility and durability. Inside the outsole, the Trusstic system improves midfoot structural integrity, and Guidance Line technology uses vertical flex groove to decouple tooling along line of progression, maximizing gait efficiency.
